Caring for your wood Plugs & Tunnels is actually quite simple. To make sure your Plugs & Tunnels last you a very long time I am listing a few steps below:

The most inmportant step is to avoid water. Wood fibres expand if it gets water which will make it crack - avoid wearing your plugs in Jacuzzis, pools, baths & showers at all cost, although your wood plug is sealed with an organic, natural sealer.

The best way to clean your plugs would be to wipe them with a dry tissue. You will find that your lobes will leave a residue of skin cells on your wood Plugs and this can simply be wiped off at least once a week. My Plugs & Tunnels are made with a natural, organic finish, it ican get damaged.

At least once a month, oil your Plugs and Tunnels, with a natural Jojoba, Vitamin-E oil or Mineral oil. Use a paper towel and get some oil on it and massage the oil into the wood, no need to soak your plugs in the oil. Wipe off all excess oil with a clean paper towel afterwards.

Store your plugs in a cool, dry place, in a sealed, air tight container. Avoid storing your plugs in direct sunlight or vehicles.

Avoid all chemicals on your Plugs & Tunnels including hair spray & lotions.These contain alcohol and would also strip your Body Jewellery and tarnish the natural coating on it.

Should you use a Lobe Lube, make sure it's Natural and Organic - Ask me if you're uncertain.

Over time, wood Plugs & Tunnels may darken due to the application of oils and everyday wear. This is completely normal and expected with Organic Wooden Jewellery.

A last but very important point to consider - Some plug wearers may experience allergic reactions to certain materials. If you find that you are experiencing any form of irritation or allergic reaction, remove the plugs immediately and seek advice from a qualified medical practitioner.
